Writers get together and try to beat their excuses as to why they're not writing. One of my excuses is ... I can't stop! What I mean is that I find it difficult to write in the evening because I don't like to stop when I get on a roll. I can't stay up until the wee hours because I have to be at work after a commute. I almost fell asleep behind the wheel one night. Scared the bejeebers out of me.

I'm considering setting my alarm to get off the computer here in a few hours. I might not need to, but it is an idea!
I'm writing about cyborgs. Biological robots. So I found this quiz on Shelley Munro's blog fit the bill.
Okay, I'm off to work!

Okay, I'm off to work!
I’m very much the same way, Annalee. Once I get on a roll I really hate to stop. And if I do stop late at night before the ideas get out on paper they nag at me the rest of the night while I’m trying to sleep. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is funny! :)
ReplyDeleteTransformers rock.
I can't write in the evenings because I'm exhausted from the day, lol.
ReplyDeleteHi Annalee!
ReplyDeleteI used to have the same issue - but I've really gotten down to disciplining myself not to go past a certain point. Every once in a while I go past but having to pay the price the next day is murder... thus puts my butt back in place. I want to write some each day and if I over do it... I can't do that. :) Good luck on finding your middle ground!

LOL Once I get on a roll in the evenings I hate to stop too...and my hubby hates that cause I don't go to bed the same time he does. I think it's because he just wants some nooky. *snicker*
ReplyDeleteYou can't stop and I can't get started. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLyric!! LOL! I hear you ... they DO have a one track mind, don't they? *gg*
ReplyDeleteI'm a little of both right now. For a while I was on a roll, now I've been derailed and sidelined so thoroughly, I can't get
re-started.
Getting a job after 6 1/2 years is a tailspin maker, and I'ma spinnin' !
You'll find your stride again, Annalee!
Good luck!
As it turned out, I stayed up way too late twice last week. Really made it tough when the 14 hour day hit. LOL. But the weekend is here, so I'm ready to roll again with just one commitment in the road.
