The biggest challenge I face with print on demand is learning what to sell where. That's why I tend to focus more on sites I sell the most on. In this video I'm sharing a couple of tips about selling on Zazzle and Spreadshirt.

There's something in this video she says that is basically the key to earning in POD! If you're trying to earn your money using sites like Zazzle, Amazon Merch, Spreadshirt, Redbubble and the list goes on... you will have to spend some time figuring out the site. A lot of "gurus" on YouTube talk about creating a T-shirt design and publish it to multiple sites, totally relying on that site's customer base. But Lisa Irby knows that if we want to diversify our POD income streams, we really have to diversify more than just the sites that we're using, and figure out how to do well on those individual sites. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it.
Here's my real-life example. About five years ago I talked a friend into starting a Zazzle store. She started a Redbubble store and applied Merch at Amazon at the same time (it took her a year to be accepted at Merch at that time). The last time we talked she admitted to me she earns far more at Merch and Redbubble than she ever did at Zazzle. Why? 1) She never added any text templates to any of her designs at Zazzle. 2) She pretty much just made tees on Zazzle. Of course, these days customers can transfer designs to other gifts at Zazzle, so perhaps she'll start to sell more over time.
I've also discovered that keeping up with multiple sites, means keeping up with their changes. All of the POD sites have changed over time. Keeping up the changes means constant work. Zazzle's made some huge changes over years. It's always been a lot of work to keep up with their changes, but I enjoy their site and I'm a customer so I keep learning and growing.

By the way, I have over 40+ stores, this doesn't fit the idea of having a brand! It's not really the best way to run a profile over there. But most of them were started with a niche in mind, so there was a method to my madness.
