Thirteen of My Favorite Things Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens.... I love watching and singing along to a great musical. When I was a kid I used to run about singing like life was a musical. People would ask me what I was singing, but I was just making it up as I went. And I love dancing. I talked my mother into letting me take ballet lessons for a little while. But I wasn’t graceful and my ballet teacher didn’t have very liberal thoughts on teaching children. If you sucked, she let you know. But, she couldn’t ever accuse me of not enjoying dancing. All my favorite songs are either on soundtracks, or are great story like “Desperado” by the Eagles. Listing thirteen favorites might be the subject of another Thursday Thirteen. "She began Yodeling"? ROTFLMAO!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow-- *wipes tears from eyes*
I love the trousers and trash too....
yep, I laughed. A lot!
I didn't know if I was insulted or not by reading the advice column.
What a lark. I'm showing this to my DH and tell him "forget about it!!" LOL
I cook "delicious" meals anyway.

Great reading, Annalee--very funny stuff!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great links. :-D
BTW-Annalee., My DH laughed all the way through the advice column. Figures.
ReplyDeleteMichele - I think I met the guy who wrote that column! He went up to Bristol Bay years ago and I ran into him when I was driving cabs. Oh gee, I didn't run him over, I picked him up. That doesn't work either! Wording choices! LOL. Perhaps I should say, I drove him between the bars and he was drunk enough to share his philosophy on life and I've never quite forgotten it because it could pretty much be summed up in go down on me and cook me dinner. He proposed marriage too! Ack! LOL. I was in no danger of being wooed by him though as I was 21 and I estimated him to be in his 70's! Alas, he won't be the model for heros in my writing!
ReplyDeleteDaisy - Yeah... I really laughed hard specifically at the yodeling one. So you mean I have to take my yodeling heroine out of my latest WIP? Darn!
