Good Deal & Shopping News

Morrigan's Cross and Dance of the Gods (the first two books in the Circle Trilogy) by Nora Roberts are drastically reduced to $1.60 each on Amazon.com.

Though Valley of Silence, the last book in the trilogy, is normally priced, the whole trilogy would be around 50% off.

I found this deal while finding $20+ of books so I could get free shipping while order a color-changing egg timer. This wasn't a hardship!

  2. Oh, man. That is a great deal. My Mom already bought them all, though and gave them to me to read. Shoot.

  3. I love it when deals like that take you by surprise and give you a thrill.
I just picked up my four Suzanne Brockmann books from my UBS friend. Two of them are signed.
    Woot!
I am SO into them. the series.
    *sigh*

You know, I've yet to get into Nora Roberts. Opinions about her writing are all over the spectrum.

I'm following one addiction at a time... Brockmann is "it" for now.

Hey! Thanks for visiting my blog!

  6. Tempest ... just the mass market.

    Bernadette/Jennifer ... Did you enjoy?

Michele .. I haven't read that many of Nora Roberts books. The Reef is one of my favorite books. I enjoyed the Circle Trilogy but I won't consider them my favorite over time like The Reef. I haven't read any Brockmann books.

Karen ... I was kind of suprised too. Must have been trying to clear out inventory.

Jennifer .. I LOVE getting my order from Amazon. It came yesterday and I tore into the box the moment I walked in the door so I could see my treasures. LOL. I've yet to use the egg timer.

Viking queen exhumed to solve mystery

I found this clip about Viking history at clipmarks today from the original Yahoo link . clipped from news.yahoo.com SLAGEN, Norway (Reuters) - Archaeologists exhumed the body of a Viking queen on Monday, hoping to solve a riddle about whether a woman buried with her 1,200 years ago was a servant killed to be a companion into the afterlife. "We will do DNA tests to try to find out. I don't know of any Viking skeletons that have been analyzed as we plan to do," Egil Mikkelsen, director of Oslo 's Museum of Cultural History, told Reuters at the graveside. A servant might have been the victim of a ritual killing, perhaps her throat slit to accompany her queen to an afterlife in Valhalla. In one Danish Viking grave, for instance, an old man lying by a younger man had been decapitated. The archaeologists placed a Norwegian 20 crown coin -- dated 2007 and with a picture of the prow of the Oseberg ship on one side -- in the sarcophagus to show any future generations when the...
