My latest read is Maybe Baby by Lani Diane Rich. Besides enjoying the story, I'm enjoying the cause. One of the major players in this contemporary romance is an endangered "green chicken". Kakapo (Māori: kākāpō, meaning "night parrot") are native to New Zealand that I can't claim to know all that much about. But, kakapo are some of the most endangered birds in the world and I'm a parrot and macaw activist of sorts. The least I can do is post some links so these websites can get a few extra google "points" and thus more visitors that can donate time and or money to the cause.

  1. Haven't read the book yet--but I do enjoy her books.

What a cool looking bird. It's a shame they're endangered.

  2. The most amazing and unique animals are on the endangered lists.
Even the Tomato frog of Madagascar is endagered.
There are SO many cool creatures that need our help..since we're the ones who endangered them in the first place.

    BTW Happy July 4th!!!
