What a character!

I read The Finer Points of Sausage Dogs by Alexander McCall Smith after a recommendation. This is one recommendation I'm pleased to have gotten. Professor Dr. Moritz-Maria von Igelfeld of the Institute of Romance Philology was such a fun character to read about. I haven't laughed too hard to read in quite some time.

I'll definitely read the Portuguese Irregular Verbs: A Professor Dr von Igelfeld Entertainment Novel (the first in the series actually) and At the Villa of Reduced Circumstances featuring this character!

When my friend recommended Sausage Dogs I didn't realize at the time that this author wrote The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency (Movie Tie-in Edition). She's the kind of reader that when she tells me to read something, I just do. I was immediately pleased to discover that Alexander Mccall Smith was the author of the books on which the HBO series I watched was based. I have so many books on my to-do list a trip to the library is in order.
