Валенки - Traditional Russian Felt Boots



Published on Apr 6, 2016 Have you seen, tried, or maybe owned a pair of Russian winter boots like these? They are called valenki (ва́ленки). Even though they are rarely seen in big Russian cities nowadays, many people who live in the northern rural parts of Russia still wear them. They are definitely considered one of the coolest souvenirs you can bring from Russia. Enjoy some cultural facts about valenki along with a beautiful Russian folk song «Валенки».
