Russian Vocabulary & Phrases for describing RELATIONSHIPS | Learn Russian

People that are new to the Russian language will definitely find it an interesting channel to follow. This channel is full of Russian vocabulary videos such as this new episode giving the basic vocabulary of relationships. I like that in the description she took the time to write out  the phrases covered in the video.

In this particular episode, you'll definitely find some good phrases in this video to describe the relationships in your personal life. Pick out what phrases are useful to your life and find a way to use them. Relevant information like this doesn't typically need rote memorization. When it means something to us personally, it slips into long-term memory more quickly and becomes second nature (thinking in Russian).

How to Ask "Are You Married?" in Russian

Are you married? (for a man)
Вы женаты?
Ты женат?

Are you married? (for a woman)
Вы замужем?
Ты замужем?

How to Answer "I am Married" or "I am Not Married" in Russian

Я никогда не был женат.
I have never been married.

Я женат.
I am married.

Я замужем.
I am married.

Я не замужем.
I am not married.

The channel has been around awhile. The first video was mid-December 2016! I can't believe, considering how many Russian language lesson videos I watch, that it took YouTube this long to put this channel in front of me! It's a pity.

The good news for more advanced Russian language learners is that there are also some travel vlogs on her channel, so there is a good chance of finding new information.
