The modern white border features a thick band of "white space" at the top and bottom, with about half as much width on the sides. At the 12" x 12" poster size, the borders are approximately three inches on top and bottom, and 1 and a 1/2 inches on the sides.
You can change the white color on the border image. You could also delete it all together
