More Colors

This evening was the opening night of Hot August Nights . It's a big tourist week here in Reno where people from all over drive in with their classic cars. I love cars. I used to want to learn to restore old cars. Of course, some of the cars that are now considered classics are younger than me. The colors on this old car reminded me of the picture I took today. And the Pink Panther just made me smile. I watched the new Steve Martin and Kevin Kline movie this past week. Speaking of movies and old stuff... I watched a Blast from the Past this evening. I wouldn't consider it one of Brendan Fraser's best, but he is one of the actors that is fun to watch in just about anything. ;)

Cotton Candy Clouds

This morning hours after sunrise the clouds were fascinating! The sun was streaming through the edge of these, and making them shimmer with irridescent colors. There was pinks, violets and blues. I never have seen anything like it. It wasn't like the sunset where the clouds capture the color of the surrounding skies. Today it was a perfectly blue day. The picture doesn't quite do what I saw justice, but if you click on it a larger image will open. This is what I do with my free Monday instead of write! But it was lovely. Now I better get some work done. :)

Part Deux: Technology Is Grand

Jennifer Colgan was out at her local bookstore and snapped a picture of Starlit Destiny with her cell phone for me. Cool! Thanks! I'm a bookstore bum lately.... The first reason I never go book shopping is that both of my nephews are still here and I spend most of my free time with them. This is a great excuse! I'm so glad they are here. Nick leaves tomorrow, but Griffin will be here for another month or so. Anyway, last weekend we went to Marine World over in Vallejo, CA. A long weekend, but fun. The second reason is I seldom get online or go book shopping is I switched shifts at work. I don't get off until 7:00 PM and work a half-day on Saturday. But, with half-Saturday and Sunday and Monday off it fools me into thinking I have more time! I love the new shift. :)
