Iceland Holga

Iceland Holga , originally uploaded by charmedesign . On Flickr's blog there is an image of the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. It is a place I wrote about in never-published follow-up (not finished) to Starlit Destiny. Interesting that my first thought of this image when I saw it was "futuristic".

FARMVILLE Commercial!!

I think this is a funny video, but I'll keep playing FarmVille. Why? I don't have CSI, Desperate Housewives, or American Idol on my to-do list ... so I have plenty of time.   To give you an idea of how much of my life that I have saved up so I can waste it playing FarmVille ... the last television series that I felt I had to catch each week was Dukes of Hazzard. If I think hard enough ... hmm ... I think the year I decided to stop watching TV was 1982.   I do watch some television shows. News and analysis, Jeopardy, and Millionaire. The problem watching Millionaire in particular is I can never get the TV trivia questions right because I haven't watched a single sitcom for decades. None. Zip. I just don't watch those shows. Don't find them funny. Don't find them interesting.   I have watched Monk and Firefly ... thanks to Netflix. I didn't really watch them on TV.   I know people that spend upwards of a third of their life watching TV. I have all those year

Miami’s Grisly Black Market in Animal Flesh

Video description: Ride along with Richard 'Kudo' Couto, who works with Animal Recovery Mission to save horses from being slaughtered and sold for their meat on the black market in Florida. The video comes from C.M. Guerrero / El Nuevo Herald. I found the video at this interesting blog post about the problem of the blackmarket for animals in Florida. 30+ Powerful Ways To Share Images on Twitter

This blog post: 30+ Powerful Ways To Share Images on Twitter has (30) sites, most of which have a great interface with Twitter that might include a profile where users have backlinks that'll be picked up by search engines. Thirty options is too much for regular use, but even irregular users would have backlinks. I recently started using Posterous because they host images in a blog environment, and like Tumblr have a community where you can start finding like-minded people. Posterous also integrates a wide variety of services. I chose to connect with Twitter, Facebook and Blogger. I can e-mail in an image with description that will post to my Posterous blog, then within moments the same post shows up on this Blogger account, as well as a link (with visual) on my Facebook wall, as well as a tweet on Twitter linking back to the Posterous post.

Daybreakers - Trailer

The description for that goes with this new movie Daybreakers trailer over at YouTube starts with: Two-time Academy Award nominee® Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world's population into vampires. I predict that this movie won't be Hawke's third nomination. But, for those of us that like vampire flicks, in a few more days we can find out if this is a good movie. The movie opens on Friday, January 8th. Posted via email from Annalee Blysse @ posterous
