Dance of the Gods by Nora Roberts

Dance of the Gods by Nora Roberts. This is the second story in The Circle Trilogy. It's the love story between Larkin (shapeshifter) and Blair (a demon hunter). So far Larkin is my favorite. But, I'd have to say I was thinking the same thing of Hoyt earlier this week. LOL. So far all the characters have been fun to meet, and I'm looking forward to reading Moira and Cian's story in book 3. I browsed some reviews at Amazon.com, and was shocked to find some negativity regarding this series. Makes sense, because not all lovers of romance love paranormal romance. But, to me this series is great entertainment for those of us that love paranormal romance. It has a little of everything. Dance of the Gods was of particular interest because I took a break from The Once and Future King to read The Circle Trilogy. So far all I’ve read is Sword in the Stone. The fantasy land of Gaell that is first visited in the Dance of the Gods is based in part on Arthurian legend.

Morrigan's Cross by Nora Roberts

Morrigan's Cross by Nora Roberts. This is the first story in The Circle Trilogy. It is the love story between Hoyt (wizard) and Glenna (witch). This series is opening with a very entertaining tale. I put off reading it as quickly as some because I tend toward reading vampire books where the vampire is the hero, not the hunted. Cian is the only good vampire we've met so far. Oh well. I'll have to deal with it! The other week I was thinking about why I love the romance genre, and paranormal romance in particular. I saw a blog post that brought to mind the old literature vs. genre fiction debate -- the one with romance showing up on the bottom of the heap as thought-provoking literature. I don't read any fiction because I want to think. That statement includes the "Pulitzer Prize" winning literature. I don't read any fiction to think! Not even the fiction that is supposedly more thought-provoking. There have been very few fiction authors that taught me anyth
