They have so, so many great cookbooks for sale there for $2 each. My early New Year's Resolution is to finish up Thanksgiving leftovers and a few Christmas candy canes then go on a low carb diet and try some of these recipes. I bought the Dr. Atkin's diet book with diet instructions to go with it via Amazon a few days before I went used book shopping. It arrive today in the mail.

Veni, Vidi, Vici - Conquer Your Enemies, Impress Your Friends with Everyday Latin A used book I found the other day at the used book store in the Great Western Marketplace here in Reno. I've been studying Latin via LingQ to help with my foreign language vocabulary acquisition. My current knowledge of Latin has been a great help, so I thought I'd learn some more words. At LingQ they have podcasts with sound to follow along and learn proper pronunciation too, but I don't know who I'd talk to in Latin, so I bought the book to learn more than to impress friends. The First Thousand Words in Russian - Kid's Russian language learning book I found used via the bookstore in the Great Western Market. There are a few words I didn't know, and using pictures to learn them is very helpful. Pretty Christmas trees and decor I found out shopping on Black Friday at the Great Western Marketplace in Reno, Nevada. These ones were close to the leasing office. I checked out their information for leasing a kiosk. As a Zazzle storekeeper , I've been considering ways to increase my sales locally. I noticed this indoor marketplace has opportunities in the Reno, Northern Nevada, and Lake Tahoe area that start at about $50 for a weekend (three days). If you want to rent a spot, you can check out their latest deals here . Don't quote me on these prices ... at this point I'm just an interested party, but not professionally affiliated.

A cute Winnie the Pooh and Piglet mural I found out and about shopping on Black Friday. I took the photo to contrast with mural I found in Russia with the Russian version of these characters. On Black Friday, I went used book shopping at The Great Western Marketplace. While there, I noticed that they have some free space for small businesses to rent kiosks. I'm not affiliated with their business in anyway! This is  totally free advertising for their businesses because I thought the indoor marketplace is a great opportunity for artists, photographers and other small business designers that want to sell their goods part time. I noticed a sign that said a weekend lease started at $50 ... but please don't quote that as I am sure it is subject to change! Truly, I am just a fan of used books and like to look at all the arts and crafts when I go buy books. How to learn any language in 10 tips | By polyglot girl ... I think this video has a positive message with a lovely setting in Nepal. I think English learners will find it useful to read the subtitles, though keep in mind this young lady isn't a native English speaker so she mispronounces many words. I don't mean to say that in a judgemental way! Her poor pronunciation doesn't hamper her ability to be understood. For those of us that struggle with pronunciation, sure we can work on that over time ... but we shouldn't forget that communicating with people in their native tongue is better than giving  up if we can't get the pronunciation perfect.
