Is a web page with interesting images and descriptions of what Earth looks like from outer space. I learned that the line between day and night is called a "terminator". Fourmilab http://www.fourmilab.ch/ A Swiss site maintained by John Walker, one of the people who wrote AutoCAD. His personal interests swing toward astronomy, so you can find some great pages like an "Earth and Moon Viewer" . I found it interesting to see what Earth looks like at night, with clouds, and on some of the images you can pan and by using your back button can get a rotation effect going.

I used their service once and e-mailed in a question. The answer I got from one of their astronomy students helped me visualize an astronomy student and ask a question. Within a few weeks someone got back to me and gave me an answer I found very useful in my writing a scene in Starlit Destiny ( http://www.newconceptspublishing.com/starlitdestiny.htm ). Of course, you'll find a lot of questions on the site that other people have asked.

This web page is designed to give everyone an idea of what our universe actually looks like. My favorite page is "A Map of the Milky Way " which is the best image I've found that shows what the Milky Way Galaxy probably looks like from overhead.

Planets aren't always "full" against the backdrop of space. At least some space travelers will approach planets when they are showing their "darkside". Yesterday I got most of the way through the ordering process to buy Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI but I didn't know my street address zip code. I've never used it. Not Ever. But, Amazon.com won't send software to a PO Box. My failing memory made me lucky! Over night the price for PSP went down an extra $10. Add to that a $30 rebate and the total price is now only $39.99. Good deal! Woo. And this all means that I was able to buy Bernadette Gardner's Infinite Worlds for less than a quarter. The $10 I saved paid for her book.
