Create Moving Kaleidoscopes

Slide.com slide shows are popular on myspace as a way to pimp your profile for free with minimum fuss. I hadn't played with the options there for several years, so I only recently discovered the "prism" option. Though it slows down my computer (and I'm sure the loading of myspace profiles on most people's computes), I love kaleidoscopes. I have a Kaleidoscopes Video Showcase lens on Squidoo but couldn't add Slide.com slide shows to it so here they are... Wanda Wonka This image is "Wanda" (incognito in those snazzy fake sunglasses) at m&m's world in Las Vegas. The image was taken last weekend. I got dizzy in this m&m tumbler. I'm a wuss when it comes to dizzy.

Earthquake Zone

I've brought up a few times on Twitter that I'm living in an earthquake zone. Northwest Reno has become a source of intersts for seismologists around the world thanks to the earthquake swarm that has hit. According to the news we've had over 5000 earthquakes (from itsy bitsy to 4.7 magnitude) since late February. Lucky me to live on the end of town that feels all the quakes that can be felt. This evening the earth has been rumbling all night. We just had a 3.8 (according to the news) after I started this post. Let me just say that with 5000 earthquakes I haven't been sleeping all that well for the better part of those two months. I'm concerned and fearful because darn if I don't live on the edge of mountains that got here thanks to earthquakes. I try to tell myself the largest known quake in Nevada was 7.2 and that is 900 times less powerful than the Good Friday Earthquake in southcentral Alaska.
