Looking back at YouTube over 2007.... Yahoo posted on their front page that "You may be the last person online who hasn't seen this prairie dog's acting skills." I may not be the last, but I hadn't seen the clips yet. About every copy of the clip has had millions of hits, and many of goofy copies have had hundreds of thousands. (The video is 5 seconds long.) I am amused at the popularity of videos like that because I keep hearing about how wonderful the YouTube community is for promoting intelligent discussion among young people. And speaking of intelligent discussion among the youth on the Internet ... if the response videos to Miss South Carolina 2007's public-speaker-nightmare-come-true goof showcase some of the best and the brightest young people in America, I'm moving to Argentina when I retire.
