Wrapped Books Christmas Present Tree

A cute idea for Christmas decor I found at the Dollar Book Swap in the Great Western Marketplace. Wrap up a variety of book sizes and arrange them from largest to smallest in the shape of a tree, then add ribbon to hold them together.

I think your results would be fantastic if you picked out custom color or pattern theme Christmas wrapping paper from Zazzle.com. You can wrap the books with the scraps from custom wrapping paper purchased at Zazzle.

Here are a few of my collections at Zazzle featuring wrapping paper: Ombre Wrapping Paper, Christmas Wrapping Paper, Black and White Wrapping Paper, and Solid Color Wrapping Paper. Here is a link to all of the custom wrapping paper in Zazzle's online marketplace.

Dollar Book Swap Reno is affordable shopping for books, CD’s and DVD’s for the Reno/Tahoe area.  Books are $3 or less, music and movies $2 each and children’s books are $1 each or a bag full for $10.  Customers are encouraged to bring in their excess books to exchange for store credits.  We buy textbooks for cash, and we do trade ins. We want to provide quality affordable used books to our local market.  We also have a goal to get 1 million books into the hands of children and adults in our most at risk neighborhoods in the Northern Nevada/Northern California area.

My Favorite Things

Thirteen of My Favorite Things Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens.... I love watching and singing along to a great musical. When I was a kid I used to run about singing like life was a musical. People would ask me what I was singing, but I was just making it up as I went. And I love dancing. I talked my mother into letting me take ballet lessons for a little while. But I wasn’t graceful and my ballet teacher didn’t have very liberal thoughts on teaching children. If you sucked, she let you know. But, she couldn’t ever accuse me of not enjoying dancing. All my favorite songs are either on soundtracks, or are great story like “Desperado” by the Eagles. Listing thirteen favorites might be the subject of another Thursday Thirteen. Some of the movie songs I’ve listened to while typing today: Da Funk by Daft Punk on The Saint soundtrack and #1 Crush by Mundy on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack. Writing. I can get lost in writing. I love creating stories and characters. Apparently e
