Last night I went to see a country music concert. Keith Urban. He's really into guitar solos and has a lot more rock influence in concert than on his albums. George Straight's "Murder on Music Row" kept coming to mind. But! I'm not complaining because I enjoy the newer country music too. He did sing my favorite song which is... "But For The Grace of God".
The chipmunks sat behind me. They wouldn't stop talking. And, they were talking about things like phones, boys and school, so I figured they were young! Not to mention they were giggling, and the one sounded like a chipmunk. I'm not kidding. And they seem to have thought that purposely speaking in squeaky voice and chattering like a chipmunk was very cute, so this went with my theory that they were young -- very young. But when I turned around, they were drinking beer! They weren't kids.
When they were screaming "I Love You Keith", I cheered them on. It was the talk in between that annoyed me. It just seems to be something a lot of people think is all right. I see it in movie theatres too. I think it has to do with cell phones. People seem to think they have the right to talk wherever they want now. I don't know. What do you think?
Lastly, the contest running via my blog ends tomorrow. Lord of the Night is still coming soon.

So every random blog site I visit plays god awful music to which I have to listen until I figure out how to turn it off. I go to a musicians site to sample his music? Nothing, Nada, zip, zilch. Keith really should put up a song for background music on his blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I noticed! I have my speakers on and no music. Normally I surf with no speakers.
ReplyDeleteI’ve noticed the same thing, Annalee, and it’s not just young people and rock concerts. Our latest instance of being bombarded by blabbermouths was just recently at a live, classical Christmas music concert. Those usually have a more subdued crowd, at least during the performance portion. But these chatterboxes were all middle-aged and older! My husband and I just wanted to slap those babbling idiots upside the head. LOL
ReplyDeleteAh... Keith Urban. I'm not into country music, but he could sure turn me into it and show me some country moves. *wiggles eyebrows*
ReplyDeleteAh yeah, Keith. He had this doohickey that flew him over the audience and ladies were trying to jump up and grab hold! The other problem with my seat was I needed binoculars! LOL. I had to imagine how cute he is while watching him sing.
ReplyDeleteI think he's cute, but I've never listened to his music. Well...maybe I did but didn't realize it?
ReplyDeleteI think that all cell phone contracts need to come with a mandatory booklet and test for manners that must be passed before it can be turned on. I am soooo sick of people answering/chatting whenever the darned thing rings. Just cause it rings doesn't mean you HAVE to answer it.
And talking through movies? Major pet peeve.
