Book Game

Here's a little game I found in my blog from over a year ago while I was deleting old posts. I don't know why I'm always feeling like I need to delete. It's not as if Google will run out of room on their computers for my puny contributions to the WWW.

1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph:
Gary Vandergriff paused with his hand on the doorknob, trying to compose his expression into a mask of pleasant neutrality. "The lack of oxygen will kill us without leaving any evidence of foul play. I go first."

"In orbit," Cleus responded. "And you and your cousins do the dishes."
1. In Enemy Hands - Michelle Perry
2. Eternal Nights - Patti O'Shea
3. Your Planet or Mine? - Susan Grant
4. Ravenstar's Bride - Jennifer Colgan
5. Morrigan's Cross - Nora Roberts

My Favorite Things

Thirteen of My Favorite Things Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens.... I love watching and singing along to a great musical. When I was a kid I used to run about singing like life was a musical. People would ask me what I was singing, but I was just making it up as I went. And I love dancing. I talked my mother into letting me take ballet lessons for a little while. But I wasn’t graceful and my ballet teacher didn’t have very liberal thoughts on teaching children. If you sucked, she let you know. But, she couldn’t ever accuse me of not enjoying dancing. All my favorite songs are either on soundtracks, or are great story like “Desperado” by the Eagles. Listing thirteen favorites might be the subject of another Thursday Thirteen. Some of the movie songs I’ve listened to while typing today: Da Funk by Daft Punk on The Saint soundtrack and #1 Crush by Mundy on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack. Writing. I can get lost in writing. I love creating stories and characters. Apparently e
