Happy Halloween

I'm sitting in the living room, manning the door, staring at the candy with a growling stomach! I better eat dinner because I'll never burn it off unless I chase after the kids in the neighborhood and hand it out that way. ;)

Hey, tomorrow is the day that marks the start of National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/).

  1. I've found the only way to burn off the candy is to set it on fire BEFORE you eat it. I've got enough here to put Hershey out of business...or keep them in business. I'm not sure which.

  2. Yes we have a ton of candy...aaah! My kids brought home so much it's ridiculous. Oh well.

  8. The candy is to help you keep your sanity through NaNo. Or at least that's what I tell myself every time I pop a piece in my mouth. :)

  9. Bernadette... burn the candy! Good idea. But then, if I had tons of Hersheys bars and set a fire in the yard I'd probably just get out the marshmallows and graham crackers instead. ;)

  11. Cole, Um-hmm... my goal is to still have candy available in the bucket by Christmas!

  12. Tess ... It's good motivation though. There's a real good chance I won't finish. But I'll try! LOL. I can write fast, but I'm so bad at editing while I write.

Monique/Debbie... Nano! Glad weekend is here.

Tonya... me too, I think! Oh no.

My Favorite Things

Thirteen of My Favorite Things Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens.... I love watching and singing along to a great musical. When I was a kid I used to run about singing like life was a musical. People would ask me what I was singing, but I was just making it up as I went. And I love dancing. I talked my mother into letting me take ballet lessons for a little while. But I wasn’t graceful and my ballet teacher didn’t have very liberal thoughts on teaching children. If you sucked, she let you know. But, she couldn’t ever accuse me of not enjoying dancing. All my favorite songs are either on soundtracks, or are great story like “Desperado” by the Eagles. Listing thirteen favorites might be the subject of another Thursday Thirteen. Some of the movie songs I’ve listened to while typing today: Da Funk by Daft Punk on The Saint soundtrack and #1 Crush by Mundy on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack. Writing. I can get lost in writing. I love creating stories and characters. Apparently e
