I'm Behaving!

I've working on three weeks of being sick (second round hit me a week back), and my brain is functioning on less oxygen ... barely.

One area I'm going haywire in is that I'm driving in circles. Literally. Last weekend I drove up to the bank a half-hour from closing and forget to take the bank's exit on the Interstate. I had to turn around at the gas station's exit, but couldn't actually get gas yet because now the bank closed in 15 minutes. Then I had to back up yet again to get gas. I feel fairly certain I wouldn't have done this if I was getting twice the oxygen.

But here's the one that made me laugh at myself.

I got home from work and went to sleep. I just woke up and saw the computer on and decided to check the blog. Sometimes I click on the stats to see what is up and saw that someone surfed onto my website/blog from...

http://www.romancingtheblog.com/blog/2006/07/09/author-behaving-badly

and I panicked.

"But, I'm behaving!"

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go to that gas station while it is relatively warm. Last night I was in the gas station parking lot at the video store renting March of the Penguins but it was colder than Antartica outside. I chose not to get the gas then because I am not equipped to handle the cold anymore. And, last night the temperature got down to zero degrees on the dot! I might have hailed from colder climes, but I no longer have Happy Feet.

And, I really am behaving too.

(Darn.)

My Favorite Things

Thirteen of My Favorite Things Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens.... I love watching and singing along to a great musical. When I was a kid I used to run about singing like life was a musical. People would ask me what I was singing, but I was just making it up as I went. And I love dancing. I talked my mother into letting me take ballet lessons for a little while. But I wasn’t graceful and my ballet teacher didn’t have very liberal thoughts on teaching children. If you sucked, she let you know. But, she couldn’t ever accuse me of not enjoying dancing. All my favorite songs are either on soundtracks, or are great story like “Desperado” by the Eagles. Listing thirteen favorites might be the subject of another Thursday Thirteen. Some of the movie songs I’ve listened to while typing today: Da Funk by Daft Punk on The Saint soundtrack and #1 Crush by Mundy on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack. Writing. I can get lost in writing. I love creating stories and characters. Apparently e
