My Computer Desk

This is my 400th post (currently). Actually, I have a habit of erasing old posts.

Thirteen Items on the Desk

  1. michael buble Call Me Irresponsible cd - I'm importing that into iTunes as I type. He's going to be here in Reno in a month or so. I plan to go. I'm pretty new to being a Michael Buble fan. I heard him on the radio for awhile before I figured out who he was.

  2. blue highlighter - I regularly use highlighters when I'm researching.

  3. Shelley Munro's The Shadow. I actually read it quite some time ago. It hasn't made it back to the bookshelves yet.

  4. I just bought James Taylor's Greatest Hits on CD too, and now I can import that into iTunes.

  5. The CD for Paint Shop Pro XI - It slows my computer down more than any other version and it doesn't have Animation Shop. It is not my favorite version of PSP every.

  6. iPod - Loading it up now with songs for various newer CDs that I've bought. I've had about all I can take of Paris Hilton news. I have this FM transmitter doohickey so I can listen to the iPod on an empty radio station.

  7. CD folder thanks to Bebe Thomas http://www.bebethomas.com/.

  8. Spiral notebook with ideas and other notes I've made.

  9. Several other CDs got placed on that iPod transfer and those CDs are about still. I'm running out of room though.

  10. Scissors.

  11. Flashlight and bent paperclip - Needed to mess with resetting the wireless router for that new computer to get it hooked up to the Internet.

  12. Isabelle Allende's House of Spirits. I've been meaning to read that story for quite sometime but haven't yet.

  13. Pink Bowl - Ready to bring to the kitchen to be washed.

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!

  1. I'm on your desk? :-) That's cool!
I quite like Micahel Bauble - he reminds me of a young Sinatra. I have a CD somewhere - just wish I had the ipod to go with it!

  2. Whaaaaa, I'm not on your desk. And what was in the pink bowl? That's what we want to know.

  3. Hehehe. Sounds like MY desk.

I'm in the process of downloading songs to Itunes, too!

But I have a white stuffed Webskinz unicorn staring at me, too. LOL!

  4. My computer takes so much space of my old desk, that everything else is in a table next to it. *LOL*

I'm jealous of anyone who hasn't read House of Spirits yet. It's humbling.

  8. You delete old posts? Why?

I don't even want to go into the things on my desk. So messy!!! Ahhhh...

    BTW, great new layout! :D

  10. Love Michael Buble, and was listening to that CD yesterday at work.

I've deleted off or edited old posts, too. Mostly ones announcing upcoming workshops or chats that are no longer relevant.

  11. Shelley - Yes. I really liked the Shadow. Speaking of jewels... I've decided I want to watch that old Disney The Moonspinners. It has a similiar theme and it is one I've never seen.

  12. Babe - Cheez-its in the pink bowl. My favorite snack. Come to think of it, it is my favorite breakfast in a hurry too. Keeps me sane behind the wheel when I get that pink bowl full of Cheez-its sitting in the seat. I learned long ago they go flying easily.

  13. Jennifer - Ah, I've seen those Webskinz. Cute.

  14. Ciar - It is one of the books that I "stole", for a time anyway. A friend lent it to me long before the movie ever came out but I never got around to reading it. Then the movie came out and I got lazier. LOL. But I watched the movie late in 2006 and picked up another copy.

  15. Isabelle - I mostly delete the old stuff that leads to links that aren't around anymore, or pics that are missing. When I find them. I am not a fanatic. ;)

My Favorite Things

Thirteen of My Favorite Things Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens.... I love watching and singing along to a great musical. When I was a kid I used to run about singing like life was a musical. People would ask me what I was singing, but I was just making it up as I went. And I love dancing. I talked my mother into letting me take ballet lessons for a little while. But I wasn’t graceful and my ballet teacher didn’t have very liberal thoughts on teaching children. If you sucked, she let you know. But, she couldn’t ever accuse me of not enjoying dancing. All my favorite songs are either on soundtracks, or are great story like “Desperado” by the Eagles. Listing thirteen favorites might be the subject of another Thursday Thirteen. Some of the movie songs I’ve listened to while typing today: Da Funk by Daft Punk on The Saint soundtrack and #1 Crush by Mundy on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack. Writing. I can get lost in writing. I love creating stories and characters. Apparently e
