It is super hot here for the 4th. As I type it is 103.8 F here at the house. I think I'll go outside and bake for a few minutes just to say I did.
As for the homegrown fireworks....
Last night I was trying to watch television and this metallic clown helium balloon was floating around in front of me and hitting me. It was kind of creeping me out. I must have an electrical field surrounding my body that was attractive to this balloon because I could hold up my hand and it would move toward me.
I freed him from his restraints and he went flying away and I never saw or thought about him again until...
Around about 3:15 a.m.
I just happened to be getting home since I didn't have to work today and I was sneaking around on tippy toes in the dark trying not to wake anyone up. Anyone being my brother who has been staying here all the time since his son showed up for the summer. He did have to work today so I wanted to be quiet.
Anyway, I see this dark shadow floating around in the living room and visions of paranormality pop into my head. Then I remembered that balloon and realized it was skulking about. I didn't want it to scare my nephew should he wake up so I tried to get to it. Despite being attracted to me earlier, the balloon reversed polarity and ran away from me.
It made a beeline for the ceiling fan.
Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.
My brother came running out into the living room. "What are you doing playing with Griffon's balloon?"
"I'm not, I'm trying to get the fan off."
"Yeah, right."
My nephew just grunted. He didn't even hear the homegrown fireworks.
I enjoyed the Google pic today.

There are some cool eagle/birds in this sand art film I found on YouTube.
