Thanks to Jim Bashkin's post Cool site maps literature preferences by author name, I started wandering around http://www.gnod.net/ (Gnod: The global network of dreams). One of the other sites is http://www.flork.com/ (Flork: Meet new people Webwide).
I thought Flork might be a service to sign up for to get the word out about writing and sure enough, just two clics on flork around and I found author Ann Aguirre. It works. It gets the word out. Actually, I've heard of this author's work under the name of Annie Dean. The Web can be a small place.

I'll have to check them out, thanks for the tip.

Thanks for mentioning the site I posted (on author maps) and for mentioning that I helped bring it to your attention. Because you looked into it, I now know what Gnod means.
ReplyDeleteI found another cool site, on translation of books from one language to another, and it includes links to some pretty funny mistakes with subtitles in movies (I should publish it momentarily, or look at http://life-in-translation.blogspot.com/).
I'm glad I stopped back to see what you are up to! Best wishes, Jim http://nearlynothingbutnovels.blogspot.com/
