Found mention of this book via: Enchantment Guy Kawasaki New Exciting Visionary Book on Business where Chris Voss shared: "Over my business career this is one of the best business books I’ve read in 10 years."
The book sounds really interesting to me, so part of the reason I'm writing this is so I don't forget about the book. My brother was better at motivating people than I am. It is part of my personality to expect that people come into a situation pre-motivated on their own. Added to this, I tend to view people that want to change the behavior of others as manipulative. Yet, at the same time, having been a teacher for many years I know some people just aren't self-starters and that positive reinforcement works wonders. So, books like this are always a nice reminder on tips and techniques working with people that need more attention than I do. Particularly when bringing the techniques from the social realm into a business model.
But then, on the other hand, the cover quote brings up Apple. I ask myself ... do I really find Apple enchanting?
The answer is ... no.
