How To Resize A Layer In Photoshop - Photoshop Tutorial

"In this video tutorial, I show you how to resize an individual layer. There are times when you need to adjust the size of just one singular layer and this is how you do it!"
In showing you how to resize an individual layer, he is showing how you can resize text beyond the maximum size in the Text tools in Photoshop. Your text needs to be on a layer of its own, and then you can follow his tip using the Free Transform tool in the Edit menu.
This is just one way to show how to change the size of text or make the text a lot bigger in photoshop. This tip is for making really big images.
For instance, if you have a store on Society6, you can resize text without losing quality so that you can create huge images for printing on their large (POD) print on demand products. Here's one example of a large single letter that had to be resized... Modern Magenta Ombre Letter M Monogram Wall Mural.

By the way, though I often have affiliate links on this blog, I haven't gone through the process and signed up for their program at Society6 s there is no affiliate link on this particular product.

Here is another answer to the question:

Photoshop: how to resize a text box without distorting the actual text?

When I was a kid I used to run about singing like life was a musical. People would ask me what I was singing, but I was just making it up as I went. And I love dancing. I talked my mother into letting me take ballet lessons for a little while. But I wasn’t graceful and my ballet teacher didn’t have very liberal thoughts on teaching children. If you sucked, she let you know. But, she couldn’t ever accuse me of not enjoying dancing. All my favorite songs are either on soundtracks, or are great story like “Desperado” by the Eagles. Listing thirteen favorites might be the subject of another Thursday Thirteen. Some of the movie songs I’ve listened to while typing today: Da Funk by Daft Punk on The Saint soundtrack and #1 Crush by Mundy on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack. Writing. I can get lost in writing. I love creating stories and characters. Apparently e
